There are many articles disputing the proported myth that the Eskimos have close to 200 words for 'snow'. Wikipedia gets into the discussion of  linguistics, the New York Times writes article after article on our love of snow and discussion boards all over the internet share english words for different types of snow.

Off the top of my head, here are a few:

berg, cornice, crevasse, floe, frost, glacier, hail, hardpack, hoarfrost, ice, iceball, icecap, iceberg, ice field, powder, rime, snow, slush, sleet, snowball, snowcap, avalanche, blizzard, dusting, flurry, ice crystal, ice storm, snowball, snowbank, snowcapped, snowdrift, snowfall, snowflake, snowlike, snowman, snowstorm, freezing rain, new-fallen snow, yellow snow, glare ice, purple wax snow, crud, sugar snow, and corn snow.
